MENTAL HEALTH
I have lived-in mental health experiences which are now thankfully behind me.
On 1st December 2023 I posted an emotional final note to my wife, children, family, friends, former colleagues and others. I had reached breaking point with exceptional anxiety.
The unexpected outpouring of support from thousands truly touched me and I will always be grateful for that and the continued well-wishing.
The following morning I woke up to the lovely scene from Looe, Cornwall - where I had escaped and been found. The emerging of the winter sun amidst the fog and the sea truly spoke a million words and set my mind to coming back much stronger after I sought professional medical support.
My lived in experiences add for my determination to encourage others (especially business leaders / owners) to speak up earlier, share their experiences and to help support MIND and other mental health charities and organisations.
I want to support others - I can talk to anyone, anytime of the day if it helps to share my experiences, the lived-in previous pain and give hope where I can.
My mental health suffered hugely but I am now in a far stronger space mentally, physically and determined to be a mental health advocate.
